How does access to e-resources work?

What is an e-resource?

An e-resource could be a database, an e-journal, an e-book or an article in formats such as PDF (full text).

Note! Your library account or ”login” to OneSearch does not give you access to the library’s e-resources.

Who can get access to the library’s e-resources?

Through the library's website, you have access to the e-resources paid for by the university, wherever you are, if you are:

  • student at Halmstad University
  • staff at Halmstad University

Can I access the e-resources if I'm not a student or staff at Halmstad University?

For this to work, you must:

  1. be on the university campus
  2. use your own computer
  3. connect to the university's guest Wi-Fi HH-guest by logging in as a guest

How can I get access to the e-resources on campus?

If you are a student or staff on campus, you must:

  1. have a student- or staff account
  2. be connected to the Wi-Fi Eduroam or the guest Wi-Fi HH-guest
  3. start from the library’s website www.hh.se/library 
  4. click on the link to the database, e-journal, e-book, or article. You will either be taken directly to the e-resource or to the login box (Ezproxy at Halmstad University), where you log in with your student- or staff account

How do I get access to the e-resources off campus?

If you are a student or staff off campus, you must:

  1. have a student- or staff account
  2. start from the library’s webpage www.hh.se/library
  3. click on the link to the database, e-journal, e-book, or article. You will either be taken directly to the e-resource or to the login box (Ezproxy at Halmstad University), where you log in with your student- or staff account
